Dr. Nicole Elger, DMD
Dentist
Dr. Nicole Elger is passionate about making a meaningful impact in her patients’ lives through compassionate, comprehensive dental care. A graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree, followed by an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) and an Implant Fellowship, all from SIU-SDM. She is currently working toward completing the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine's mastery program to better serve patients diagnosed with sleep apnea.
Dr. Elger’s favorite aspect of dentistry is the opportunity to share her knowledge with patients and guide them toward the oral health they desire. She thrives in a collaborative environment, continually learning from her team and drawing inspiration from their experiences and goals.
Motivated by a desire to rewrite the narrative for those who’ve had negative dental experiences, Dr. Elger is committed to creating beautiful, lasting smiles while helping patients feel at ease and confident in their dental care. She believes that a smile is one of life’s most powerful tools and works to ensure that each patient feels valued and cared for after their time with her.
Outside of the office, Dr. Elger enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, as well as traveling, reading, playing the piano, singing, and attending continuing education conferences. A fun fact many don’t know: she began college on a theater scholarship, reflecting her creative spirit and love for performance.
Kari
Office Manager
With over 30 years of experience in the dental field, Kari brings both skill and heart to her role as office manager at Elger Dental. She began her career in 1994 through on-the-job training and has since worn many hats, from assisting chairside to managing the front desk.
Since recently joining Elger Dental, Kari has quickly become a friendly, calming presence for both patients and team members. She loves connecting with people, learning about their families, and making their dental visits more comfortable and personal.
Outside of work, Kari enjoys hiking, yoga, camping, and kayaking with her family. Fall is her favorite season for capturing nature photography on the trails, while winter is reserved for books and quiet evenings by the fire with her dogs. A lifelong learner, she’s currently working on her swimming skills in preparation for a mini-triathlon and is passionate about holistic health.
